but in the end u could learn something about acual farming, if u dont know something about farming. yes it might seam abit old school Quest grinding in a way. so more or less my wish whould be that We have the normal "sandbox mode" and add "Competition mode" and "RPG mode" where u in RPG start as normal but to get forward u have to complete diffrent goals, like for an example in the begining ur first goal whould be to Locate all ur equipment and bring them to the farm, second goal Plan what u should do next "example" prepair the feild/feilds to bee seeded, and so on. i truly hate this because it makes no sense that you can just drive over the crops without losing them, it's so stupid.ĥ) RPG mode. this way you start off with a small farm and then you eventually upgrade it into a big farm.ħ) if you drive over ready to harvest crops they will be destroyed. the same goes for biogas plant, milk, slurry, manure, potatoes, beets, etc. against the ai in single player there would be a no limit option since you can pause and quit whenever you want.Ħ) be able to upgrade my farm: for instance i shouldn't have unlimited silo capacity from the start, i start off with a small silo and then upgrade when i need more capacity. farm size can be small, medium or large depending on how long the game will last. you also give each player a setup/planning phase like say 5 mins so that they can buy their equipment and have all their stuff ready to go before the game actually starts. Online this would require games to be short (say 15 mins), medium (30 mins), or long (60 mins) and just give the players starting cash an no starting equipment so that they can just buy the equipment they plan to use instead of having to sell the starting ones. you both have separate farms and away you both go and you set winning conditions such as "most cash by x time". Remember that due to the price dropping when a crop is sold, the best way to maximize profit is to grow and sell a variety of crops, whenever price is green if possible.1) more weather effecting your crops such as if it snows your crops will freeze if not harvested right away or if your tipper is not covered than the snow will freeze everything inside the tipper until covered, and the current rain effecting your ability to harvest, cultivate, etc.Ģ) more helper options such as hiring a helper to transport to silos, biogas plant, mow grass, windrow, bale, etc.ģ) better ai pathing: the fact that mods such as auto combine don't miss any crops when harvesting shows how a single modder can do a better job of pathing that an entire development group.Ĥ) be able to sell manure/slurry so we don't have to rely on modsĥ) competition with other farmers (especially ai in single player): this way you have new goals such as beating the other guy instead of just career mode or co-op on one single farm. I'm personally not convinced that Beet and Potato would pay much more then regular crops for the same in game time period.īut because of this almost perfect balance in work vs effort, it can be fun to try any or all of the crops without feeling like we will be missing out on profit margin. It also takes much longer to grow then the regular crops. I have not made bale in my test, only picked it up with a loading wagon.īeets and Potatoes are about 2.5 times more profitable, but they require special equipment, can only be seeded a few rows at a time, and also harvested a few rows at once. But collecting Straw require additional work and machinery. However, if Straw is collected, Wheat and Barley would easily win with almost 40% more profit. It appears like all regular crops have very similar profit per hectare with corn being in the lead.
